Hello and welcome back all my dragon ball theorist after going in depth about Merus and his true identity and what that can mean for Goku and his training. This video I want to go into just
what Goku thinks he can learn from Merus. If you haven't watched my Merus True Identity explained yet, it's worth taking a look at that to cover some of those unanswered questions and just how Goku
can possibly push threw to the next level. One main question we have to ask ourselves is with Goku having access to Instant transmission, why stay at Galactic HQ? Why not instant transmission
to Beerus homeworld and ask Whis for training? Then let them know that both him and Vegeta were defeated by this Moro guy and he is really tough? Goku could 100% do that but what he feels he is
doing right now is more important. Just like Vegeta going to Yardrat feels that is the best decision to further himself, to defeat Moro. So in this video we are going to explore just why Goku
thinks training with Merus is the best option and where this will take him in terms of his next power and final form.
Goku has had some interesting Masters, he learned some great techniques and powers over the years. Master Roshi, King Kai and recently Whis. Each of them increasing his power and abilities to
new heights and helping him see something more. So who is this guy? and how will he help? Goku has managed to tap into Ultra Instinct in a desperate situation at the tournament only
after rigorous training, he endured from Whis. Now it would make sense that Goku would continue where he left off and train again with Whis who could help him see the world beyond and mastering
this new power right? However as I mentioned in this desperate situation they are in right now with Moro, he decided to test Merus power out instead. In the end he wasn't disappointed and it
was clear to Goku now what he must do! He actually wants Merus to train him!!
You might be thinking that Goku only wants Merus to help him unlock Ultra Instinct? Well that isn't true. Yes, he does tell Merus there's one move of mine that I am still trying to master.
It's all about letting the body move on instinct, so it might work against Moro even when he starts absorbing my energy. Of course this could be something he maybe thinks would work and perhaps
exhausted and desperate to win like in the tournament, he could again tap into this ability. However that isn't what Goku is really going for or the main reason he chose Merus to train him.
The fact is even though Goku couldn't get a sense of Merus true power yet there is one simple fact that is overlooked in this chapter. After we get past the issue with Goku who is incredibly
powerful asking Merus for training that is. Once we realize that Merus has been hiding his true identity, is incredibly powerful and a talented enough fighter to not just train Goku but help
him achieving new heights. We can move on to the simple fact that the main reason Goku asked Merus to train him regardless of power is, Merus seems to know plenty that Goku doesn't.
This one fact alone has intrigued Goku. He even followed this statement up with firmly asking Merus if he was wrong about him knowing a lot that he didn't. We didn't see Merus deny it. So
while Goku of course would like to tap into the huge benefits of Ultra Instinct again from a fighting perspective, that isn't his true intentions. Goku is first and foremost a martial artist and
has been trained that way since day one! When Goku see's someone who knows a lot that he doesn't, he wants to learn these techniques and abilities from them regardless of their actual power.
Which is why Vegeta is on Yardrat at the moment. Goku learned one of his most useful techniques on Yardrat, they aren't that powerful but Goku chose to stay there training because he knew how
beneficial it was to him advancing as a fighter. That is always Goku's goal as a martial artist first and increasing his power latter. He is incredibly curious about anyone that has an
interesting technique or abilities and always has wanted to learn from them. Goku being humble and teachable....
